Above is a spread I worked on for David Crow’s latest edition of Visible Signs: An Introduction to Semiotics in the Visual Arts. Opening chapter 6 Symbolic Creativity with a Needle-felt person. The Needle-felted character has a wire armature inside which I posed in the shape of the chapter number.
